Thank you for your patience.
We are back and we’re so excited to see you again!
People first. It’s been a challenging several weeks with ever changing COVID-19 landscape. We are committed to the well-being of our partners, staff, and guests. Our goal at this time is to do our part in keeping the curve flat, as well as provide the patient care we can to help keep the emergency rooms open for those who need it.
If you think you may have an eye infection, minor eye injury, or are experiencing changes to your vision, please feel free to reach out to us. We are able to provide tele-optometry services with your verbal/communicated consent. These consultations will be covered by MSP and your extended healthcare benefits. If a phone call is required, our optometrist will reach out to you.
Thank you for your patience and support at this time. Stay home, practice social-distancing, and remember to be kind to one another.
Yes, but with drastically lower occupancy limit (one patient with one companion maximum – exceptions for families booking together). We are open Tuesday to Friday from 10 AM to 6 PM and Saturdays 10 AM to 4 PM.
Our first day back will be May 26, 2020.
We are the same, except safer. Keeping your family and our staff safe is our top priority. With guidance from the WHO, BCCDC, and the Doctors of Optometry, we are focused on providing the same level of service you are all used to. In order to keep everyone safe, we have made the following changes:
If you are feeling ill with any of the following symptoms, please re-schedule your appointment for when you are feeling better. runny nose, sore throat, any type of cough, fever, chills, nausea, or vomiting.
All patients/families/companions visiting our clinic are required to wear a cloth mask. If you do not have one or forgot, medical grade masks are available for purchase $2 each. If your child is less than 2 years of age, they do not require a mask.
All visitors will be subject to a non-contact temperature check prior to proceeding with any services.
Picking glasses should be a joyful experience but it is hard to have fun if you’re worried about who last touched those glasses.
The best way to prevent the spread of illness is to clean frequently touched surfaces. Guidance from the WHO and the BCCDC explains mechanical washing with the use of soap before disinfecting is the best way to remove many pathogens.
- After every session, Wink staff will take any glasses touched and run them through our ultrasonic bath with soap for 5 minutes. Each pair will be dried by hand and ready to be put on by the next excited customer.
- Wink staff will be masked and gloved for yours and our protection.
- Equipment will continue to be disinfected after every use as we always have.
Your safety will be and has always been our top priority. We will update our safety protocols on a continual basis to keep in line with the latest official documentation.
Labs are still operating but at lower capacity so expect your order to take 1.5 – 2 weeks. Contact lens orders have the option of having them shipped to your home instead of coming to our office to pick them up – expect these to take 1.5 – 2 weeks as well depending on the delivery company.
